Randy Geyer

Hello Folks!

Welcome to Harford Academy! We’re so glad you stopped by our website. Harford Academy is the only public separate day school in Harford County, serving students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) whose intellectual needs significantly impact how they comprehend and communicate information. We are proud to support learners from age three through twenty-one. Our mission is simple: to empower students through meaningful experiences, develop communication systems for nonspeaking learners, foster independence, and celebrate the unique strengths of every individual.

We take pride in being a place where collaboration and compassion guide everything we do. Our dedicated staff works hand-in-hand with families to ensure that every student feels valued and prepared for successβ€”both in school and beyond. Whether it’s through community-based work experiences, in-house activities and clubs, personalized learning through the IEP process, or building life skills, we’re committed to helping students reach their fullest potential.

Be sure to check out the "About Our School" video linked above. This short clip brings to life many of the programs we’ve highlightedβ€”because seeing our students learn, grow, and shine is far more powerful than words on a page.

At Harford Academy , the learning and the instruction are a result of hard work and perseverance. Every day, our students and staff rise to challenges that require dedication, creativity, and resilience. While it’s easy to focus on the joy our students bring, the reality is that meaningful growth takes commitment from everyone involved. We are proud of the effort, determination, and heart that define our school community.

Sincerely,
Randy Geyer
Principal, Harford Academy
